Morbidity Ranking

Measurement Period: 2023
This indicator shows the ranking of the county in overall quality of life according to the County Health Rankings. The ranking is based on a summary composite score calculated from the following measures: poor or fair health, poor physical health days, poor mental health days, and low birthweight.

Why is this important?

Measures of morbidity are commonly used to understand the distribution of disability and illness within a community as well to capture the health and well-being of community members. This information enables communities to allocate resources to groups who suffer disproportionately from illness or injury and thus strive to achieve an equitable level of health throughout the community.
